Girls at play

Mae is desperate to be a big kid and will occasionally get all the t-ball stuff out of the toy box to play. It is really fun to watch her hit the balls and run after them. The helmet is way too big, but it doesn't matter to her.

She likes to bat one-handed
Mae is also starting to leave her hair up after I do it. She has always loved having her hair brushed, but would pull out any hair ties or barrettes immediately after having them put in. Now she is leaving it alone for a few hours. So fun to see her cute, smiling face without all the hair!

Anne has really started to enjoy building and making things with her Legos. Here she is with her Lego vacuum. The yellow Lego on the front is her water bottle holder so she can stop and get a drink when she is vacuuming. She also loves to have her picture taken.

Mae brought me 4 hair ties and INSISTED that all 4 be put in her hair. It wasn't easy to do and her hair was sticking straight up, but I couldn't get a good picture of it.

Anne recently told me that it was her big wedding day and she had to be dressed a certain way. She was very particular about how everything was to be done. She also told me that she was in the 2nd grade and it was their class wedding day at the park. All the kids had to be careful because the park was very muddy and they didn't want to get their faces dirty when everyone would be watching them on their special day. She also drew a special princess picture for her big day.

The following day she wore her princess dress along with a plastic fireman hat to the grocery store and received lots of compliments. Her imagination is alive and well!

Not happy about sharing her big day with Mae and did NOT want me to take a picture of Mae.
