Lake Michigan

We had a quick trip to Michigan for a memorial service for one of Pete's Aunts. She passed away this past spring, but requested a family beach memorial service during the summer so lots of family could be there. Pete grew up spending summers in Michigan and has lots of fond memories of being there. Pete and I went there 10 years ago for a family gathering and it was nice to be back.

We stayed with one of Pete's cousins and our kids had a blast playing with their kids. The weather was a bit cold, but the kids still enjoyed swimming. The kids keep talking about going back and Pete and I would love to. It really is just so beautiful there.
