Mother's Day

The woman who watches our kids worked on a secret project for me for mothers day. She made a quilt for me and the kids were able to design and write on some of the quilt squares (Pete made a square, too). The kids kept the surprise and were so excited for me to get it. They also wanted to make me a cake- so Pete helped them make me a lemon cake with strawberries. Pete gave me a whole Saturday to myself, which was also very nice. This year has felt long and hard, but I'm so grateful for my kids!
