Florida Vacation

Pete's  annual swine vet conference was in Orlando this year and we decided to turn it into a fun family vacation. I am so glad that we did because we had an awesome trip and just had so much fun! We spent the first part of the trip at Grandpa and Grandma Keenan's house. While there we went to Legoland, beach, park (Mae has been wanting to play on the playground for a long time), watched TV and had a great visit.

The conference was in a hotel right at Disney Springs. We spent an afternoon walking around the shops- kids spent some Christmas money at the Lego store. The kids were able to swim in the hotel pool which had a lazy river that they loved! I was too busy playing lifeguard to get pictures, but there were lots of smiles. We also went to a kids science center/museum/game place called Wonderworks. The kids enjoyed it- I would have enjoyed it more if there weren't 350 school kids on a field trip there at the same time as us. They were able to do some fun things and it was nice to just get out and do something different.

Our last night there Pete had a banquet we could attend with him. Mae didn't want to go out to eat, but instead wanted to watch tv in bed. So, Pete took Henry and Anne with him and I stayed with Mae. She was so worn out from our week of fun!

This trip was so much fun and has my wheels turning about where we can go next now that the kids are the perfect age for fun adventures!!
