- He came into my room wearing his pjs and snow boots. When I asked him about the boots he looked at me with an expression of why are you asking about my boots and then told me they were his boots for Sams Club. He had gone to Sams to purchase two guns (one for him and one for me) because they were on sale for cheap. He also got some ice cream for him and Anne.
- He has been practicing to be a paperboy when he gets older. Thanks to Curious George, Henry has decided that he wants to deliver papers so he rides his bike on the sidewalk in front of the building and stops at each stairwell to throw a newspaper (imaginary) to the door. Sometimes this game has sound effects.
- He has been planting pretend gardens and is a bit disappointed that we won't have a real garden this year.
- Thanks to a book from the library (Papa Small by Lois Lenski) Henry likes to pretend that he is Paul, Anne is Polly, and that we're having another baby. I told him we might when Anne gets bigger. That got his mind going so he told me when that baby got big we would have another and when that baby got big we'd have another and that we're going to have 5 babies. I don't see myself having 5 children, but maybe Henry knows something I don't. Really I think he just wants more kids to play games with him.
- The last time we went to Oma and Opa's house they had some chocolate milk. Henry drank strawberry milk when he was younger sometimes, but we really never have chocolate. So, this was somewhat new to Henry and he LOVED it. Now he pretends that he's drinking chocolate milk all the time. It doesn't matter if it's water that he's really drinking he still tells me that the chocolate milk tastes good.
- He loves to play games that involve pretend microphones. He'll use any object as the microphone and will sing, read books, tell stories, etc. The other day he even had some props that he was using and was disappointed that his room doesn't have any place for magnets to hang up his pictures. He then told me that he needed some time to himself and politely asked me to leave.
- The other night Henry came out of his room very excited to tell us that Jesus was born because he saw a new star in the sky. He then wanted us to go and look at it. Pete was kind enough to do so and then Henry showed him the star and talked to him for a minute.

Henry and his imagination
Henry has always been fairly good at playing by himself/talking to himself/creating new games/pretending. Lately he has been coming up with some really creative stories and they make me laugh and they make me worry (just a little bit) about the stories he may create to get out of trouble when he's older. Anyways, here are some of the things he's said or done lately.
