These are some pictures of Old Iron Town. These are the actual remnants of an iron mining town close to where we were this summer. The town was originally built by the river, but the 'river' was totally dry and judging by the landscape I think it has been dry for awhile so the landscape has changed, but it was fun to imagine what this little town was like.
Some buildings...I don't remember exactly what.
This is where they burned the iron. It still had a strong smell all these years later.
This is where the homes had been built...closer to the 'river'.
