Anne is now 9 months old and seems to be growing and learning so fast. She still has a fairly mellow personality; however, keeping her healthy has been a challenge. She recently had an ear infection (her first) and is recovering from hand, foot and mouth disease (which Henry now has too). She is also getting more teeth in, so it is totally understandable why she hasn't been her mellow self lately and we are all hoping she gets to feeling better soon. Here are some of the new and fun things about Anne.
- She has 6 teeth; 4 top, 2 bottom.
- She has learned to army crawl and is content getting around that way. She should be developing good calf muscles from this form of exercise. She enjoys following us around the house and doesn't like to be left behind.
- She likes to wave at people. Her hand is often backwards, but she likes to do things her own way.
- She is part monkey, but in a different way than Henry. Anne will lay on her back and hold toys with her feet and look at them with her hands. She will pick up toys with her feet/legs and bring them to her face too. It is really funny to watch how well she can use her feet.
- Anne frequently will eat with her left hand, but not always. If she tries to take the spoon from me, it is with her left hand. So, we are curious to see if she will end up being a lefty.
- Anne no longer sucks her fingers. My guess is that the teeth got in the way, but maybe she just stopped. She doesn't go to bed quite as well, but it's not too bad.
- At her check-up she weighed in at 17 lbs and 27 1/2 inches long.
