Anne's first birthday

Although it's hard for me to believe, Anne is 1!! As usual, part of me feels like it was just yesterday when she was born and part of me feels like she's been in our family for more than a year. Pre-Anne life just seems like forever ago. At her 12 month check-up she weighed 19 lbs 5 oz and was 29.5 in long. Her head circumference was apparently wrong at the last check-up, so on her chart it appears that her head shrank. It was an awful appointment for Anne since she got 5 shots and a trip to the lab for blood work. Hopefully she won't hold it against me the next time we go.

• very opinionated about what she likes or wants
• loves taking baths
• talks on and on into her play phones
• loves reading books
• turning into a complete daddy's girl

We decided to keep things super simple for her birthday, which turned out to be best since she had a fever of 102-103 all day. (That's why she has her pjs on in the pictures) We had a few gifts, cupcakes, and Uncle Guy came over. She really didn't like/want her cupcake and I don't know if it was because she wasn't feeling great or if she just didn't like it. Thanks Uncle Guy for taking pictures for us!
