Machine Pitch Baseball

This year our town is participating in Little League instead of doing our own summer baseball league. It's a long backstory as to how this came to be, so I'll spare everyone the small town drama. Henry is in the machine pitch division and his team name/sponsor is CSI Overhead Doors. He was very worried about hitting from a machine, but seems to be picking it up okay. He has been assigned to be the pitcher, which means he is getting lots of practice on his catching skills as the ball is thrown to him to stop play on the field. So far, he is really enjoying it and the next several weeks will be full of baseball games!

Henry at bat during his first game. He struck out twice and got a single. When he got on base (his last at bat), he looked at me and started jumping up and down. He was just so excited that he finally got a hit. Like me, he has a hard time with anxiety/nerves for competitions and being in front of people, so it was good for him to be able to get a good hit. His team lost 13-15, but it was a great first game out. Lots of learning occurred and I think they're ready to improve their next time out.
