In October Anne had a routine eye screening at school and they recommended further evaluation. After we saw the local eye doctor, we were referred on to Children's Mercy to see a specialist. Anne's right eye is severely far-sighted while her left eye is almost perfect. To try and improve her eyesight before her eyes are set (around age 7-9) she is having to patch her left eye each afternoon to strengthen her right eye. We will also be visiting her eye doctor every 6 weeks to monitor progress. While the road ahead seems long, I am grateful the issue was discovered and we have some time to try and improve her eye.
Anne picked out these pinkalicious glasses. I'm still trying to figure out how to take a picture of her without the glare from her glasses. :)
