Henry really enjoys being a part of the gifted program at school. They study various topics- some are chosen by the students, some by the teacher. They recently finished learning all about basketball and then they all made courts to scale and played some games. He didn't win the tournament (dice game), but enjoyed the unit.
He is now starting a unit on Missouri bugs. They went on a field trip to a nature center and he held two tarantulas. He did admit that he wanted to see someone else hold it first, but then said it wasn't scary. When he asked if I would hold one, I had no trouble telling him NO!
He also loves science class. The units rotate between science and social studies and he is happy to be back in a science unit. He loves to learn and this year it has been great to see him much more excited about all he is learning and doing at school.
Henry is also participating in 4H and is doing archery as one of his projects. He has only had two practices so far (sorry, no pictures yet), but is LOVING it! It has been fun to watch him and I've learned quite a bit, too.
