Valentine's Day

Holidays are more fun with the kids because they get so excited about it. The girls have been looking forward to Valentines Day for a very long time. Mae even made special pictures and hearts for her teachers that she gave them a couple weeks before Valentines Day because she couldn't wait. They all had class parties at school and enjoyed lots of treats. For breakfast I made red velvet pancakes and had strawberries. For dinner I made a chicken/spinach/mushroom dish with homemade french bread. Mae picked out some heart cookies from the store to bake at home. Some recipes were new and didn't turn out quite as well as I would have liked, but all in all it was a great and yummy day!
