2 weeks old

Although it's hard for me to believe, Anne is already 2 weeks old. She had her check-up at the doctor and everything looks good. She has surpassed her birth weight by about 4 ounces, which the doctor was pleased with. According to the nurse she also grew a 1/4 inch, but I think it's probably just a matter of who was doing the measuring and the fact that she straightens out a bit more these days. All in all she is doing well and got the doctors stamp of approval.

Today we started 'tummy time' since her stump fell off yesterday. Unlike Henry, she really enjoyed it. She was quite content, made a couple cooing sounds and did attempt to lift her head and move. It was fun to see her starting to figure things out and be happy about it.

Thankfully, Anne is somewhat on a schedule and will eat every 2-3 hours during the day and 3-4 hours at night. During the night I can typically get her fed, changed and back to bed in half an hour. During the day she has stretches of awake time and screaming time which can be exhausting, but Pete has been a huge help and I'm grateful that it's not in the middle of the night. On those rare nights when she has a bad night, Pete has been great taking turns with me to try and get her back to sleep. I'm hopeful that she continues to have this routine and that the screaming time gets reduced. :)
