Liz and Randy came out for a visit and to catch a Royals game. They weren't interested in the Royals, per say, but in visiting Kauffman stadium so Liz can cross another stadium off her list. We had a fun time in 'the city' and we had great weather too.
Friday we went to union station, which is an amazing old train station. The inside of the building is beautiful especially the ceilings. We then went to the World War I museum. We saw quite a bit, but the museum is huge and so we probably saw almost half of the things. One of the best parts was being able to go to the top of the tower and look out at the city.

Saturday we relaxed at the hotel- watched tv and swam in the pool before heading out to the game. The game started at noon and it was crazy hot. Thankfully, the clouds came out for the end, but the beginning was very hot sitting in the sun. The kids had fun at the game and even got a certificate with their name on it to remember their first trip to the stadium. The only thing that would have made it better was a Royals win.

Sunday we went to church in the morning and then walked around a couple parts of the city. First we went to the city market and then to country club plaza where an art show was going on. Fun to walk around, but I'd love to go back and walk around when it's not quite as busy.
We had a great time seeing new things and visiting with Liz and Randy. Who wants to come and visit us next?
